Preparatory meetings will take place prior to the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women.

Expert group meeting

UN Women convened a virtual expert group meeting on 8–10 September 2025 in preparation for the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, which focused on the priority theme: “Ensuring and strengthening access to justice for all women and girls, including by promoting inclusive and equitable legal systems, eliminating discriminatory laws, policies, and practices, and addressing structural barriers”.
